Jewelmer Joaillerie’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection

Attending Jewelmer events always leaving me awed at the beauty of our golden South Sea pearls. This time around, I get to watch a gala show at the NBC tent on October 22, 2012 where Jewelmer welcomed the brand’s clients and friends for an elegant affair

The anticipated gala set the mood with sweeping compositions played by the Philharmonic Orchestra led by Maestro Rodel Colmenar, a performance by Carissa Adea and Richardson Yadao, principal dancers from Ballet Philippines, and the vocal powerhouse Ima Castro.

What excited me is how the stunning pearl collection complemented the fashion designs.

Robby Carmona and his team at Saga Events staged a sumptuous theatre setting, melding the performing arts and fine jewelry in a fashion show by Rhett Eala, Patrice Ramos-Diaz, and Randy Ortiz featuring bespoke designs inspired the Jewelmer Joaillerie’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

Each model floated down the runway in dramatic creations inspired by the golden South Sea pearl. The highlights of the show included the Spring/Summer 2013 collections of Via Rosa, Dolce Rosa, Tropics, Vitta, and the Pelagia rings. With a dramatic tableau to close the show, it was a return to the old world appreciation of fine jewelry translated for the modern woman in a scintillating celebration of life.

Cobalt blue was the color of the night, as Jewelmer Joaillerie launched its new signature hue. “As a visually rich and powerful color, it also belies a fragility that symbolizes the sea from which golden South Sea pearls find their provenance,” says Jewelmer’s Creative Director Gaelle Branellec. “The link between the blue and the gold is a special sort of alchemy that creates beauty, life.”

Jewelmer also made a special announcement with the preview of the Jewelmer Platinum MasterCard powered by PNB and Allied Bank. It will make it easier to invest in this fine jewelry with its 24 installment plan. It is the first jewelry co- sponsored card in the world and offers a host of premium services for its exclusive clientele. The luxury credit card will be available later this year.

Maybe playing and winning the Cheekybingo is another way to buy those lovely pearl pieces.

Gastronomic delights of Margarita Fores and sparkling libations by Moët et Chandon, Belvedere, Grand Marnier, and floated through the tent as guests mingled and enjoyed a night of music and dance.

A surprise treat awaited me as Jewelmer’s own Jacques Christophe Branellec showcased his talent for the saxophone alongside the Philharmonic Orchestra. With an updated brand direction and much to celebrate over the years, the Jewelmer family and their guests lingered after the show, continuing the night to the beats of DJ Manolet Dario for an affair to remember.

Here are some samples of the Jewelmer Joaillerie’s Spring/Summer collection:

From the Dolce Rosa collection: a pair of earrings composed of two (2) golden South Sea pearls set with 3.35 carat diamonds in 18-Karat yellow gold by Jewelmer.

From the Tropics collection: a ring composed of two (2) golden South Sea pearls set with 0.79 carat diamonds in 18-Karat yellow gold by Jewelmer

From the Lautitia collection: Pelagia ring composed of one golden South Sea pearl set with 3.89 carat diamonds in 18-Karat white gold dipped in rhodium by Jewelmer.

From the Via Rosa

From the Vitta collection: a ring composed of one (1) golden South Sea pearl set with 2.17 carat diamonds in 18-Karat yellow gold by Jewelmer.

The designs are just too beautiful. Perpetual motion melding with grace, immortalized forever in precious gold. Each piece is a beautiful rendering of fluid silk laced with diamonds, fluttering and fanning around the pearl at its core.

Oh well…

I may not have the Golden South Sea Pearls but Jewelmer still gave all the visitors a treat.

A box of chocolates!

What a lovely night.
